Virtual Terrain Modeling
Obtaining a clear picture of a region’s physical characteristics helps oil and gas companies in Western Canada plan for future development and construction. LN uses sophisticated technology such as UAV Surveys to not only provide an image of an area’s terrain above ground, but also the composition of the earth in the area. Aerial photography, maps and as-built drawings are all components of virtual terrain models.
Virtual terrain modeling and reports are used by:
- Oil and gas companies starting new projects in a developing region
- Energy companies maintaining records of a region’s historical features for the purposes of future development
