The Importance of One-Call

No matter where you plan to excavate or dig, your first call must be to your local/Provincial One-Call service which acts as a liaison between the person of entity that wants to disturb the ground and all of the registered utility operators in that area. This is a mandatory pre-excavation call that everyone must do before they start any digging or excavation.

One-Call alerts all registered underground utility operators in your area that you are planning to dig or excavate – even if that is just planting a tree in your yard. All gas, electric, cable, sewer, and water companies are required to come mark their structures with locates prior to any ground disturbance.

LN is the exclusive One Call/Ground Disturbance Management provider for Enbridge from Edmonton to Athabasca. As such, we have established processes, procedures, and protocols along with extensively trained and experience locators/surveyors who understand the risks and requirements for quality when conducting this type of work.
