Disposition Surveys
Disposition Surveys allow a company to perform surface work on Crown Land. These plans are part of the process for a company to obtain a lease or license for work such as well sites, pipeline right of ways, roads, power lines, etc. Work that falls under the Oil and Gas regime are administered under the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER). Companies planning on development in these regions must acquire a right of way permit before construction of plants or mechanical installations to avoid conflicts. Work that is not Oil and Gas related falls under the responsibility of Alberta Environment and Parks. These dispositions will have different designations than the ones from the AER. In both cases a disposition is essential in order to perform work on Crown Land in Alberta.
Typical disposition surveys include:
- Well site
- Access roads
- Power line right of way
- Gravel pit
- Vegetation control easement
- Pipeline right of way
- Easement
