Concrete Scanning
Modifying or removing concrete while renovating buildings, sidewalks or parking lots in a non-destructive manner saves time and money. LN’s concrete scanning methods use existing as-built reports and ground penetrating radar systems to determine pipe location, rebar patterns, existing metal within the concrete, gaps in the concrete and any other element contained in the concrete. Scanning prior to demolition or modification can help shape your construction project before the concrete is chipped, hammered or removed.
Our technology used for this application provides High Resolution 2D/3D concrete scanner called the Structure Scan. See here for Specifications & Information. GSSI-StructureScanMiniSeriesBrochure
Our Structure Scan Mini HR can;
- Locate metallic and non-metallic targets in walls, floors and ceilings, bridges, monuments, walls, towers, tunnels, balconies, garages, decks (Rebar, PT Cables, Conduit, PVC, Etc)
- Map reletive concrete conditions for rehab & planning
- Measure slab thickness
- Identify void locations
- Image Depths up to 40 cm (16 in)
- Trace targets through a structure
- Determine the relative size and depths of cracks, voids, and other targets
- Real-time scanning and data interpretation
- Ability to determine multiple subsurface targets at varying depths.
- 2D for real time target location, tracing and marking
- 3D imaging (Mapping) for x-ray type images “Ideal for congested areas”
- Safe Technology meaning no radiography “X-Ray”
