In Alberta, access is everything. Access to supplies, access to new locations. The Parsons Creek Interchange project was important to support market access as well as economic opportunities in the core transportation network. Parsons Creek was an important project to get right.

Phase 1 of Parsons Creek was completed in the fall of 2015. It was crucial to relocate utilities properly, implement proper earthworks and raise the required funds for finishing the job. The Government of Alberta had already invested $150 million to other development work in the Parsons Creek area.

LN collaborated with Sureway Construction to provide spatial information that would enable them to make informed decisions with respect to construction of the interchange. LN used a Trimble X100 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to produce a photo mosaic of the entire construction area and provide a digital terrain model (DTM).
